| Kathy Chow (周海媚) was a Hong Kong actress, singer and model. She was born in Hong Kong on 6 December 1966. She was an ethnic Manchu, descended from the Gūwalgiya clan of the Bordered White Banner. She was a participant in the 1985 Miss Hong Kong pageant. She made her acting debut in 1985 in TVB's television series The Yang's Saga. In 1988 she married actor Ray Lui, but divorced in 1989. She moved to ATV in 1998 and left in 2001 to pursue other activities in Beijing. She returned to TVB in 2008 and she starred occasionally in a few TVB series, but her focus was on mainland China's productions. On 11 December 2023, Kathy Chow died in Beijing from an illness at the age of 57. |
